In 1995 I was faced with the prospect of having to stop running due to knee pain. My doctor and physical therapist tried to help me and surgery was next. Then, I took a clinic and learned the POSE method of running.
That was the last day I had knee pain when running. Yes, I was cured in one day!
I am passionate about teaching others how to run properly without pain and look forward to helping you!

Run Without Pain. Run With Purpose.
Most runners don’t get injured because they “run too much.”
They get injured because of inefficient running mechanics.
At FreeToRun, we teach a simpler way to run using the POSE Method, helping runners:
- Reduce injury risk
- Improve efficiency
- Run faster with less effort
- Stay consistent long-term

My Story
In 1995, I was told I might need to stop running due to knee pain.
Doctors and physical therapists recommended surgery as the next step.
Before going down that path, I attended a running clinic where I learned the POSE Method.
That day changed everything.
It was the last time I experienced knee pain while running.
Since then, I’ve dedicated my work to helping other runners experience the same transformation.

Why Most Runners Get Hurt
Most runners are never taught how to run efficiently.
Instead, they:
- Overstride
- Land with too much impact
- Rely on strength instead of mechanics
- Push through pain until injury forces them to stop
Running shouldn’t feel like punishment.
It should feel natural, light, and efficient.
What Changes After Training With Us
After just one clinic, runners typically experience:
- Less impact on joints
- Smoother, lighter stride
- Improved pace with less effort
- Reduced or eliminated recurring pain
- Better awareness of movement
This isn’t about running harder.
It’s about running smarter.
The POSE Method
We teach running based on the POSE Method, a proven technique focused on:
- Gravity-assisted movement
- Efficient posture and alignment
- Minimal ground contact time
- Reduced braking forces
When mechanics improve, the body stops fighting every step.
Experience in Motion
Years of racing, competing, and coaching have shaped this system.
